Spending extra time when caring for each piece will make your lingerie last much longer. Hand-wash in cold or room-temperature water only. Use a mild pH-neutral laundry soap or a biodegradable liquid detergent. Botanically-dyed fabrics can change their colour because of chemical washing-machine detergents. Fill your washbasin with water, add a small amount of soap or detergent, submerge your lingerie and let it soak for 15 minutes. Never wring or twist lingerie to remove water. Instead, dry it gently with a towel first and then dry flat in the shade.
